Job Title: Clinical Assessor

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Assessor to join our team at Capita TPS. As a Clinical Assessor, you will play a crucial role in determining the permanence of an applicant's condition and their percentage disablement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet face-to-face with applicants to review medical evidence and determine the extent of their disability
  • Seek additional medical evidence from GPs, healthcare professionals, or services as required
  • Analyse and interpret clinical information to compile a comprehensive report
  • Provide a detailed history, justification, and conclusion to support the Victims' Payments Board (VPB) in its decision-making
Requirements:
  • A fully registered medical practitioner, psychologist, registered nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or social worker with a minimum of 2 years post-registration experience
  • Valid full driving licence and access to a car
  • Demonstrable background in a Mental Health/Psychiatric specialty
  • Ability to work at pace, set boundaries, manage conversations, and keep to timescales
  • Strong analytical skills, familiar with MS Office, particularly Excel/Word and PowerPoint

  • Competitive basic salary of £38,500
  • Career pathway programme with potential salary increase up to £41,400 plus up to 10% bonus
