About This Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Design Engineer to join our NPI team, working closely with a wider technology group to deliver concept designs through to production.

This role offers the chance to work with diverse and innovative technology, encompassing low-temperature (cryogenics) and superconducting magnet systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure projects meet customer technical requirements and provide technical support for product manufacture, installation, and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Develop mechanical designs using CAD, CAE, and analysis tools to guarantee safety and functionality.
  • Suggest design improvements and value engineering to optimize costs, operations, and service friendliness.

Your Background

To succeed in this role, you will need previous experience as a Mechanical Engineer, working on complex systems, and proficiency in producing robust CAD models and drawings meeting quality standards.

You should also have experience with FEA, FMEA, and risk analysis, along with a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles.

The Opportunity
