Job Title: Academic Computing Specialist

Location: Colchester, UK

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Computing Teacher to join our team at a Good Mixed School. As an Academic Computing Specialist, you will be responsible for teaching Computing at KS3 & KS4.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have the ability to teach Computing to students aged 11-16, with a focus on developing their skills and knowledge in this subject area. You will be working within a well-resourced department, supported by an approachable and supportive head of department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Computing to students at KS3 & KS4
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning and achievement
  • Assess and mark student work, providing constructive feedback to support improvement
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop the Computing curriculum and enhance student outcomes

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a formal teaching qualification with QTS (i.e. PGCE) and a strong understanding of the Computing curriculum at KS3 & KS4. You should also have experience of teaching Computing to students of this age range.

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum
