Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Bar Operations Leader to join our team at The Ned group. As Assistant Bar Manager, you will be responsible for leading our bar teams to deliver exceptional drinks and hospitality experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead your team to prepare and serve perfectly made drinks from our range of menus.
  • Deputise for the Bar Manager and oversee bar operations, handling day-to-day tasks.
  • Support with people leadership tasks, including team recruitment, development, and performance chats.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, making recommendations and suggesting drinks on our guest service bars.
  • Speedily prepare orders on our service bars, keeping waiters and runners stocked with drinks.
  • Maintain a safe and clean bar environment, protecting guests and teammates from harm.

Requirements:

  • Previous bar supervisory or leadership experience with a proven track record of delivering outstanding drinks and people management.
  • A commercial mindset, supporting the Bar Manager in delivering excellent financial performance and results.
  • Great all-round drinks knowledge, ideally with experience in cocktails and/or wines.
  • A creative flair, with the opportunity to participate in cocktail competitions and gain a Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) qualification.
