About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and highly motivated PMLD Teaching Assistant to provide essential support to students with profound and multiple learning disabilities in a nurturing and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the SEN team to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with PMLD.
• Assist in developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and other professionals.
• Support students with physical needs, including personal care, mobility, and feeding, while ensuring their dignity and safety.
• Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment for all pupils.

Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children or young people with PMLD in an educational setting.
• A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to working with students with complex needs.
• Knowledge of Makaton, PECS, or other communication methods is highly desirable.
• Understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and safeguarding policies.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning, SEN diploma, or equivalent).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
