About the RoleWe're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our collaborative team at our Synexus research site in Manchester, United Kingdom. As a Research Associate, you'll provide general support to technical procedures, collect study-specific data, and interact with patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform technical procedures, including vital signs, blood collection, and electrocardiogram, as per local regulations.
- Conduct non-technical procedures, such as urine collection and subject walks.
- Under the supervision of a licensed physician, conduct education, evaluation, treatment, and follow-up of sleep disorders for clinic patients.
- Prepare and calibrate equipment for testing to ensure proper functioning.
- Interact regularly with patients during study visits to perform study-related procedures.
- Undertake screening tests in accordance with protocol requirements.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and provide administrative support as needed.
- Assist in the lab and/or liaise with laboratories regarding sample collections and sample processing.
- Collect medical history information for potential patients and maintain accurate freezer logs and specimen labeling.
- Report Quality Incidents and support investigation and resolution.
- Good medical terminology and ability to perform conducting of vital signs.
- Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and ability to learn and maintain a good working knowledge of FDA regulations and company/client SOPs and WPDs.
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer service philosophy, and flexibility to handle last-minute and frequent changes to study flowcharts.
- Ability to interpret study protocols and work well in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and computerized databases such as Oracle.
- Strong data integrity skills and attention to detail.
