Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Key Stage 2 Teacher to join our dynamic team at Wayman Learning Trust in Islington. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented educator to make a lasting impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.

As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging and inclusive learning experiences that cater to the unique needs of our students. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized learning plans that foster confidence, independence, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver tailored lessons that address the academic, social, and emotional needs of KS2 students
  • Collaborate with SEN support staff to create individualized learning plans and ensure each student receives the right support
  • Foster a positive and structured classroom atmosphere that promotes active engagement and resilience among students
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods as needed to address individual challenges
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in KS2 teaching with a strong preference for candidates with SEN experience
  • Compassionate and adaptable approach to working with students facing a range of learning challenges
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and SEN support staff
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will have access to ongoing professional development opportunities, including specialized training in SEN strategies.
