Job Overview:
This role is responsible for leading a nightshift team to ensure that areas are cleaned to the highest standards at all times. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining Health and Safety standards, ensuring equipment is used, cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly, and dealing with management requests promptly and courteously.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead, monitor, and supervise a team of employees to achieve goals that contribute to the daily aspects of the business.
- Motivate and inspire the team by creating an environment that promotes positive communication, encourages bonding between team members, and demonstrates flexibility.
- Undertake day-to-day cleaning tasks set out by management.
- Communicate goals and deadlines to team members.
- Assist with appropriate training.
- Plan workloads and delegate tasks.
- Ensure paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
- Assess team performance and provide feedback to employees.
- Assist with the daily operation and any ad-hoc tasks.
- Ensure that all team members are familiar with and adhere to the Company's Policies and Procedures.
- Complete HR-related tasks for the staff under your control as agreed with the Manager.
- Investigate accidents or incidents and revise risk assessments where necessary.
- Control team holidays.
- Provide sufficient cover and allocate cleaning tasks during periods of staff absence or holidays, monitoring attendance, communicate any staffing issues immediately to your cleaning manager, and respond to all requests within a reasonable time frame as required.

- Leadership skills.
- Flexibility.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work within a team as well as independently.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work.
- Good communication skills.
- Previous cleaning experience and leadership skills required.
- Awareness of importance on Health & Safety Policies & procedures.
- IPAF preferred, but not essential training will be given.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts.
- Excellent customer service skills.
