Job Title: Quality Assurance Operative

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Operative to join our Technical Team at Kepak McIntosh Donald. As a Quality Assurance Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products, adhering to legislative and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and verify product quality to ensure compliance with relevant legislative and customer specifications.
  • Conduct daily checklists to ensure temperature, contamination, labeling, weight, and packaging meet required standards.
  • Verify that all products leaving the site meet legislative and customer specifications.
  • Ensure accurate and high-quality product labeling.
  • Complete monitoring and verification practices in line with the HACCP plan.
  • Take environmental swabs and product samples for microbiological testing.
  • Monitor pH levels and trends of product results.
  • Liaise with production staff to identify foreign body risks to products.
  • Undertake Good Manufacturing Practice audits to ensure production areas meet legislative and customer requirements.
  • Assist in preparing for external audits.
  • Maintain accurate and legible documented records.

Requirements:

  • No previous experience is necessary, as long as you are willing to learn and progress.
  • A decisive, results-oriented self-starter with high energy levels and initiative.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • A professional approach, strong influencing skills, and meticulous attention to detail are required.
  • A sound understanding of integrity and compliance to food safety and hygiene requirements is necessary.
  • A passion for customer service is essential.
