Job Title: SEMH Learning Support Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a mainstream primary school in Enfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a child in year 4 with SEMH and challenging behaviour, working closely with the teaching staff to ensure the child's needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a child in year 4 with SEMH and challenging behaviour
  • Support the child's learning needs and help them to access the curriculum
  • Build strong relationships with the child, teaching staff, and other stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop and implement strategies to support the child's SEMH needs
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Previous experience of working with children with SEMH needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
