About the Role
">We are seeking a talented Network Engineer to join our team at Leidos in Herefordshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the production network service through availability monitoring, incident resolution, and fulfilling service requests.
Your primary responsibilities will include performing network equipment installations and applying and testing provided configurations. You may be required to travel occasionally to other Leidos and customer sites, as well as provide out-of-hours support on a 1-in-6 rota basis. This will involve being on call from Friday evening until the following Friday morning, with an obligation to return to site within 30 minutes if called upon.
One of the essential aspects of this role is staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends and identifying new solutions to improve our services. If you are passionate about delivering excellent results and have a strong background in network engineering, we encourage you to apply.
What We Offer
At Leidos, we offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive a contributory pension scheme, private medical insurance, and 33 days annual leave.

Essential Qualifications
- DV Clearance or the ability to gain and hold
- Qualification: Cisco CCNA or CompTIA N+ certified
- Experience: Working in a Network Operations Centre
- Behaviour: Willing to learn and train in relevant network technology
- Behaviour: Able to comply with security policy as a network administrator
Desirable Qualifications
- Certification: Foundation in Service Management such as ITIL
- Experience with configuration and administration of high-grade encryption devices
- Experience with DM VPN protocol
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as PRTG
- Experience with coding languages such as Python and their use to enhance network automation and monitoring
