Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Integral UK. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining building services, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes, and reactive maintenance (RM) in accordance with building operating manuals and contract service levels.

Main Responsibilities

  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the site service engineer's and Contract Delivery Manager, including fault finding, testing, repairing, and preventative maintenance of equipment, systems, and services.
  • To close and update completed PPM tasks on the Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system.
  • To ensure a safe and healthy working environment, and to comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures, and working arrangements.
  • To prepare and adhere to Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
  • To supervise and ensure that engineering subcontractors comply with contractual commitments and site operating processes.
  • To follow the appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems.
  • To support the static and mobile Site Services Officers/Engineers.
  • To have the ability to fault find and rectify.
  • To support the site service engineer's, contract management & admin team through the operations office, dealing with day-to-day engineering and other contract issues.
  • To record engineering performance.
  • To have an ability to communicate with others effectively, including clients and end users.
  • To have a flexible approach to working times to suit the client and business requirements.
  • To respond to emergency situations in both normal and out-of-hours working times.
  • To support the organising and direction of subcontractor labour as necessary.
  • To conduct asset collections and condition surveys to assist the site service engineer's and Contract Delivery Manager.
  • To maintain Health & Safety records and ensure good practice.
  • To perform other duties as requested by the site service engineer's and Contract Delivery Manager to ensure the smooth running of the contracts within the region.
  • To ensure Company and Site Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • To maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works.
  • To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with callouts/repairs as required and requested by management.
  • To attend site emergencies and callouts outside of normal working hours.
  • To carry out tasks within typical plant room environments and at high level, working from platforms and ladders. All access and PPE will be provided.

Requirements

  • Current Full UK driving licence.
  • A good awareness of Health & Safety working practices.
  • Understanding of basic electrical works, plumbing, and general DIY and basic maintenance skills.
