About This Opportunity:
We're seeking a skilled Life Underwriting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assessing Life, CI, and/or Income Protection applications that don't fit our online underwriting criteria.

Key Responsibilities:
You will be able to:
  1. Make quality, timely decisions in line with the Zurich underwriting philosophy and frameworks, underwriting applications to a high standard
  2. Display excellent communication skills with a broad range of stakeholders, including customers and advisers
  3. Resolve positive decision challenges by explaining decisions made
  4. Train and support other team members, providing coaching where necessary
  5. Help create a culture of continuous improvement
  6. Always act with integrity, demonstrating a positive can-do attitude
The estimated salary for this role is £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, based on location and experience.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have authority to underwrite protection products, including Life, Critical Illness, and/or Income Protection. You should also be customer-focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly detail-oriented with a proven track record of good quality results, and possess the appropriate IT skills.
