Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join our dynamic Housing Division based in Chelmsford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional account servicing support and ensuring effective servicing of client accounts.
Key Responsibilities:- Create documents for new customers, including mid-term adjustments and renewals information.
- Ensure accurate recording and entry of customer details into our system, maintaining data integrity.
- Obtain renewal terms for customers, exploring alternative options before providing the best available solution.
- Prepare renewal closings from meeting minutes and ensure cover is bound by renewal date.
- Manage insurer and customer queries about policies, confirming cover with insurers and processing policies as required.
- Deal with account queries and credit control matters, highlighting any concerns.
- Apply fundamental legal and regulatory policies in relation to internal policies and insurance contracts as needed.
- Commercial insurance knowledge is essential.
- Holding or working towards a Chartered Insurance Institute Qualification (Cert CII/Dip CII) is desirable, along with education to GCSE standard or equivalent.
- Worked to targets within a regulated framework, achieving Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Evidence of rapport-building and customer service focus with excellent communication and social skills.
- Due diligence and process-driven, able to work to deadlines and forward-plan.
- Highly accurate with strong attention to detail, using initiative when assisting team members.
- Fully proficient in Acturis.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
