Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a quality assurance program for all equipment in Nuclear Medicine. This will involve supervising and assisting with the training of trainee clinical scientists, nurses, radiographers, and technicians. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to participate in the administration of radionuclide therapies and assist in the upload and maintenance of documents within the department's quality management software.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Nuclear Medicine service at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. The service consists of two Nuclear Medicine departments across both Queen's Hospital and King George Hospital sites, and the successful candidate will be expected to participate in all aspects of the service, including QA, radiopharmacy, R& D, and external contract work. The candidate will need experience in Nuclear Medicine Physics appropriate to the role.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have specialist knowledge of Nuclear Medicine and experience in carrying out research and development. A higher qualification and teaching/training experience are also desirable. The candidate will need to have knowledge of UK legislation relating to the use of sealed and unsealed radioactive materials within a hospital environment.
