About The Market Surgery

The Market Surgery is a busy seven doctor practice providing care to over 10,000 patients in and around Aylsham in North Norfolk.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for leading and supervising the nursing team, providing safe, effective, reactive and proactive nursing services to the practice population.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the nursing team, working closely with the General Practitioners and practice manager to develop an effective, quality-driven nursing service.

• Ensure that the skills and capacity of the whole practice nursing team are deployed to best effect to meet the needs of the practice's patients.

• Provide clinical care for practice patients, including diabetes, COPD, IUD and Implanon fitting experience.

Leadership and Management Responsibilities

• Attend practice/primary care meetings, updating the partners and management with relevant information.

• Have regular meetings with the nursing team to understand any clinical or organisational problems.

• Work closely with the practice manager to manage staff within the nursing team.

Person Specification

• Up-to-date training in childhood immunisations

• Health promotion

• Family planning

• RGN Qualification

• Current NMC registration

• Accredited training in chronic disease management

• Cervical cytology qualification
