Bookkeeping & Payroll Assistant Opportunity

The One Group is seeking an experienced Bookkeeping & Payroll Assistant to join their team in Peterborough. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a strong background in accountancy and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Support with payroll processing and management
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including reconciliations and maintenance of accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable records
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Assist with the preparation of VAT returns and CIS returns
  • Perform ad-hoc administrative duties as needed
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounts Assistant in an accountancy practice is essential
  • Sage Payroll and Sage Bookkeeping experience is highly desirable
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • 21 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Flexibility in working hours
  • One day per week hybrid working
  • Birthday off
