Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Automated Systems Maintenance Specialist to join our team at a dedicated customer site in Coventry. This exciting opportunity involves working with state-of-the-art Dematic installed automation equipment at a micro fulfillment center.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair automated material handling and equipment according to quality standards and time schedules as set out in the equipment manuals.
  • Undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and industry standard practices.
  • Diagnose Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / PLC / PC faults and subsequent repairs.
  • Ensure Health & Safety legislation is adhered to at all times.
  • Achieve high-quality output at all times.
  • Accurately record all work undertaken.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and sales opportunities.
  • Optimize on-site spares levels.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times and maintain excellent customer relations.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Hold an ONC or equivalent qualification in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
  • Preferably hold a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
  • Possess a working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals & drawings.
  • Have basic knowledge of control systems and techniques.
  • Be familiar with PLC equipment.
  • Experience working at height is necessary.
  • Previous experience with various conveyor systems is advantageous.
  • Possess IT literacy.
  • Understand planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules.
  • A working knowledge of FEM and BS standards governing the automated warehouse industry would be beneficial.
About Us

KION Group offers an attractive salary package for this role, including a competitive annual salary range of £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience, plus benefits such as career development opportunities, comprehensive health insurance, and access to a generous pension scheme.

Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
