About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Administrator to join our team at Spire Healthcare. As a Medical Administrator, you will be responsible for providing efficient patient administration services within the hospital. Your role will involve maintaining an accurate and up-to-date knowledge of Spire and other insurers' products, policies, and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an efficient bookings system for in-patients and day cases using SAP.
  • Liaise with pre-authorisation teams to ensure funding is agreed prior to patient admission.
  • Respond to enquiries from patients, consultants, and members of the public in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Maintain electronic and manual filing systems accurately.
  • Process patient admission letters and confirm details with patients/consultants as necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Will have a good standard of secondary education with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Will have a track record of successful delivery in a similar role, preferably in an office or customer service environment.
  • Will have working knowledge of SAP or a similar patient booking system.
