About the Job:

This Mechanical Engineer position requires an individual with proven experience in foundry, heavy industrial, or manufacturing settings.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, including hydraulics and pneumatics systems, as well as expertise in interpreting complex mechanical engineering drawings.

A relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent) would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and reactive maintenance on foundry equipment and machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Read and work from detailed mechanical engineering drawings for the installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery.
  • Adhere to safety standards and practices, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
