Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal and Contract Specialist to join our team at JDR Cable Systems. As a key member of our Legal and Contracts team, you will provide contractual, legal, and commercial support across a range of matters, including client tenders, disputes, and claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and negotiate terms and conditions of contracts to minimize risks to JDR.
  • Provide legal and contractual advice to Sales and Project Managers on contract terms and obligations.
  • Conduct contract negotiations with customers and suppliers to agree mutually acceptable contract terms.
  • Review customer purchase orders and produce necessary documentation to process orders.
  • Support the business on various legal matters, including employee claims and commercial leases.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and partners, building relationships and contributing to engagement activities.
Requirements

You should be a qualified Legal Executive or Solicitor, or hold a formal legal qualification, with experience in contract review and negotiation, dispute resolution, and warranty claims. You will have a solid understanding of commercial contracts and experience in the construction or energy industry. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as well as the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.

We operate a hybrid working approach, requiring you to work a minimum of three days a week in the office and the other two days a week from home if desired.
