Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team at Utilise Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Environmental Compliance: Develop and implement systems to review and monitor compliance with BS EN ISO 14001 standards.
  2. Monitoring and Data Analysis: Manage and oversee monitoring equipment, collect, process, and interpret data related to environmental factors such as water, dust, noise, and waste.
  3. Site Inspections: Conduct regular environmental site inspections to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to relevant teams and senior management.
  4. Environmental Management System: Ensure the implementation and operation of the Project Environmental Management System on site through regular checking and auditing.
  5. Incident Reporting: Record and report all incidents, and initiate actions as required.
  6. Environmental Reporting: Prepare monthly environmental reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  7. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and client representatives to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Proven experience working in a consulting engineer, civil engineering contractor, or specialist environmental contractor environment.
  2. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of environmental design and works, including BS EN ISO 14001 standards.
  3. Certifications: Member of IEMA and working towards chartered status.
  4. Driving License: Full UK driving license.
