Job Title: Lead Physiotherapist

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Physiotherapist to lead our Stroke Team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is a 12-month fixed-term position that involves undertaking comprehensive assessments of patients admitted to the stroke unit and providing specialist neuro-physiotherapy interventions to patients across the acute and rehabilitation beds for stroke.

The successful candidate will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans, providing supervision, training, and support to junior staff and students.

The role requires flexibility to work over 7 days, including weekends and on-call commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients admitted to the stroke unit
  2. Provide specialist neuro-physiotherapy interventions to patients across the acute and rehabilitation beds for stroke
  3. Develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  4. Provide supervision, training, and support to junior staff and students
  5. Work flexibly over 7 days, including weekends and on-call commitments
