An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to work in a leading mental health hospital based in the UK. You will be working for a renowned healthcare provider offering a comprehensive inpatient specialist mental health service for young people and adults.

The service is dedicated to providing innovative, high-quality care and treatment for patients with challenging and complex needs, enabling their recovery and re-engagement with the community.

To be considered for this role, you must be qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a current active NMC Pin.

As a Nurse, your key duties will include:

  • Delivering prescribed care to a defined group of patients that reflect their individual needs
  • Assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care that takes account of patient choice and wishes, acting as the patient's named nurse
  • Accurately communicating with, observing, and engaging with Service Users to assess need and evaluate progress
  • Participating in relevant quality improvement processes and clinical governance
  • Providing accurate information about care in an accessible format to residents/service Users and their families
  • Acting as the Nurse in charge of the Ward, ensuring a safe environment
  • Completing notes and incident reports
  • Escalating concerns regarding resident/service user well-being, incidents, or staffing concerns in a timely manner
  • Supporting new/junior/agency staff as required, completing induction, and delivering person-centered care to the required standards

The following skills and experience would be beneficial for the role:

  • Knowledge of NMC standards, guidelines, requests, and professional practices
  • Demonstrating a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality
  • Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills, IT literate
