About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Graduate Police Officer in the City of Hollister's police service. This non-sworn, training-level position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and enforce laws in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence to support case files.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed reports, including incident reports and witness statements.
  • Maintain a high level of physical fitness and adhere to departmental fitness standards.
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid California driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized training preferred.
  • No felony convictions.
  • Pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Be a United States citizen or have permanent resident alien status with pending citizenship application.
