We are seeking an exceptional Psychologist to join our team at the University of Stirling. As a key member of our Division, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of autism research and education.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our MSc in Autism Research and supervise undergraduate and MSc dissertations in this area. You will work closely with our dedicated team to advance our understanding of autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, teach, and assess a range of teaching and learning activities across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including online/digital programmes.
  • Contribute to curriculum review and enhancement, ensuring a research-led approach to student learning.
  • Participate in the Faculty's international engagement activities, delivering teaching and contributing to joint programmes and student recruitment.
  • Engage in individual and collaborative research, aligning with the University's strategic direction, and disseminate results through regular publication in high-impact journals, books, and conference proceedings.
  • Identify and secure external research funding, manage grants, and supervise research students.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in a relevant discipline.
  • An established track record of high-quality published research.
  • Experience in securing external funding for research and/or knowledge transfer.
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent teaching and supervision at the postgraduate level.
  • Experience in designing and delivering course modules.
  • Successful coordination, support, supervision, management, and/or mentoring of others.
Desirable Criteria

We welcome applications from candidates with:

  • A Higher Education teaching qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in supervising dissertations and research projects.
  • A broad understanding of effective approaches to teaching and learning support.
  • Evidence of collaborative research with other institutions and interdisciplinary work.
