Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and organized individual to join our team as an Art Technician at Academics Ltd in Croydon. As an essential member of our art department, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our busy art studio.
About the RoleAs an Art Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining materials, equipment, and workspaces for art lessons. You will provide technical support to students and staff, including guidance on art techniques and safe use of equipment. Your role will involve managing resources, ensuring everything is stocked and in good condition. Additionally, you will contribute to extracurricular art activities and events, fostering a vibrant creative culture within our school community.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and organize materials, equipment, and workspaces for art lessons.
- Provide technical support to students and staff, including guidance on art techniques and safe use of equipment.
- Maintain and manage the art department's resources, ensuring everything is stocked and in good condition.
- Assist with the display of artwork across the school, celebrating student creativity.
- Contribute to extracurricular art activities and events, supporting the thriving creative community.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A background in art, design, or a related field, with strong technical skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with the Croydon area and a commitment to contributing to the local school community.
- Enthusiasm and creativity, with a passion for supporting students' creative development.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents. They will also be able to work well under pressure, prioritizing tasks effectively and meeting deadlines.
