White Label Recruitment Ltd is representing an engineering business in need of a skilled Design Engineer to bolster their team.

The client is seeking a highly motivated individual to focus on design using Solidworks and PDM, with a salary of up to £40,000 depending on experience, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, and pension.

The working hours are 08:30 – 5 Monday to Thursday and 09:00 – 3 on Fridays with some flexibility around start/finish times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take a design project from start to finish, producing 3D models from site surveys.
  • Review and check drawings of other team members, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Study design briefs and technical specifications to inform design decisions.
  • Liaise with the shop floor to ensure projects are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Follow the product through to manufacture, ensuring design for manufacturing principles are applied.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
Requirements:
  • 3D CAD experience, preferably with Solidworks.
  • Sheet Metal/Fabrication/Weldments/Heavy Fabrication experience would be advantageous.
  • Design for manufacturing experience is essential.
