Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Goods In Operative to join our warehouse team. As a Goods In Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include receiving and checking incoming goods, performing physical inspections, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:- Receive and check all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met
- Carry out physical inspections and report any damaged or missing items
- Enter relevant data into the system, maintaining accurate records
- Sort and store goods in the designated areas, ensuring proper organization and accessibility
- Assist with loading and unloading goods, using appropriate equipment and following safety protocols
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean and tidy warehouse environment
- Communicate any inventory discrepancies or issues to the relevant departments
- Previous experience in goods in operations, preferably in a logistics setting
- IT competency to accurately enter data and use warehouse management systems
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proactive attitude with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Competitive hourly pay rate from £11.50 to £12.50
- 12-weeks temporary to permanent contract, with the opportunity to obtain a permanent contract after 12 weeks
- Full-time working pattern, providing stability and a consistent schedule
- Opportunity to obtain a Counterbalance FLT license
