Finance Assistant Job Description

Rm Recruit is seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join their team on a part-time, temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and be proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely entry into the system
  • Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve any discrepancies
  • Process petty cash and prepare supplier payments
  • Reconcile supplier statements and manage queries related to accounts payable
  • Assist with month-end purchase ledger reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve payment issues
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a Finance Assistant or Purchase Ledger role
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise with suppliers and colleagues professionally
  • Ability to work independently, managing workload to meet deadlines
