BSL Teaching Assistant Role in Manchester

We are seeking a skilled BSL Teaching Assistant to join our team in Manchester. As a BSL Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with hearing impairment in a primary school deaf resource base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with hearing impairment in a primary school setting
  • Translate verbal instructions from class teachers to students
  • Provide social, emotional, and behavioral support and development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
Requirements:
  • Basic level of BSL skill
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service
  • Minimum of 2 professional references
  • CV with a full history from education until present
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
