Role Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a MIG TIG welder and contribute to the manufacture of rail industry products. As a skilled welder, you will work on-site at our client's premises in Derby, with regular opportunities to work away from home.

Your primary responsibilities will include performing high-quality MIG, MAG, and TIG welding tasks, using gauges 2mm - 4mm and assembling train cab components. You should be confident in your ability to work from engineering drawings and have basic fabrication skills.

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including paid accommodation and expenses when working away from home.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled MIG TIG welder with experience in working with gauges 2mm - 4mm and assembling train cab components. You should be able to demonstrate:
  • Strong technical skills, including MIG, MAG, and TIG welding
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
