About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Scientist to join our team at Marshmallow, a company that's revolutionizing the insurance industry with its innovative approach to fairer prices and personalized customer experiences.

As a Principal Data Scientist, you'll play a key role in driving business impact through data-driven insights and predictive modeling. You'll lead and deliver on a data science roadmap in claims, identifying and pushing currently-unmapped modelling solutions to streamline and automate decision points.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and deploy predictive model solutions to drive business value and improve customer experiences
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and monitor A/B tests and isolate the impact of initiatives
  3. Advocate for high data standards and practices in claims, ensuring data-driven decision-making
  4. Lead and resource an area of the business for data science, driving business action and impact from data-driven insights
Requirements
  1. 8+ years of experience in data science or related fields, with a strong background in predictive modeling and analytics
  2. Experience driving business action and impact from data-driven insights, with a commercial mindset focused on delivering impact quickly
  3. Strong coding ability in Python and SQL, with experience manipulating large data sets
  4. Ability to communicate clearly with people of all technical levels and disciplines
