Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and servicing a fleet of heavy plant machinery, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition and fit for hire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Workshop Plant Engineer to join a small friendly team at Path Recruitment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and service a fleet of heavy plant machinery, including diggers, dumpers, rollers, excavators, and other equipment up to 20 tons.
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and PDIs to ensure all machinery is in good working condition.
  • Manage workload to ensure all machinery is fit for hire and meet customer expectations.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a workshop plant fitter, plant engineer, forklift engineer, agricultural engineer, HGV mechanic, mechanical engineer, hydraulic engineer, electrical engineer, workshop engineer, technician, vehicle mechanic, vehicle engineer, or diesel mechanic.
  • Knowledge of construction plant manufacturers, including JCB, CAT, Volvo, Kubota, Hitachi, and Komatsu, is desirable but not essential.
  • Extensive experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs is required.
