Project Quantity Surveyor

Nuco Solutions Ltd is a leading nationwide property services contractor seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead our social housing reactive maintenance, planned and repairs contracts.
We are looking for someone to produce competitive tenders and submissions of the highest quality to win work in varying market sectors to support our overall business strategy.
Duties:- Assist in preparing tenders as directed, including checking quantities for major elements.
- Ensure understanding of bid allowances and detailed handover with estimating team.
- Co-operate with project team for consistent delivery of successful projects.
- Support Operations Manager to ensure significant project issues and correspondence observed, notices issued, records kept, and documents stored.
- Prepare and implement project procurement strategy with Operations Manager.
- Support Group Procurement Department buying deals by communicating to subcontractors at tender stage.
- Negotiate sub-contract packages to deliver favourable outcome.
- Draft and place sub-contract orders when authorised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly reports to customers containing accurate forecasts and information concerning variations.
- Develop and maintain close relationships with customers, consultants, and subcontractors.
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course.
- Commercial awareness with good legal/contractual knowledge and experience.
- Experience of Management accounts.
- CSCS card at appropriate level.
Salary: £55k - £65k + Car Allowance per annum.
