Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Academic Leader in Modern Foreign Languages to join our team at Harris Invictus Academy Croydon.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences, implementing and developing a broad and balanced curriculum that inspires and engages students.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver lesson plans that meet the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Mentor and support colleagues to improve teaching practice and student outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote academic excellence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless transitions and progress throughout Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Qualifications and Experience
  • Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Successful teaching experience at secondary level, ideally including experience in multi-ethnic urban schools.
  • Demonstrate expertise in subject knowledge and pedagogy.
  • Have knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4.
What We Offer

A competitive salary range of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a contributory pension scheme, generous annual leave, and access to professional development opportunities.
