Job Description

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organization, is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join their team for an initial 10-month contract with potential to extend. This role may require on-site working initially, with potential for remote work with occasional visits to the organization's offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a data repository to support project team needs, including creating queries and screens to facilitate data interrogation and visualization.
  • Provide Excel outputs for sharing with partner organizations, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Extend the data structure to support import, separation, and comparison of data from partner organizations, categorizing and indicating differences.
  • Create reports on financial liability, variance, member and contract statistics, and data validation outcomes.
  • Advise on data repository limitations and risks, and manage the transition to an alternative data tool if necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Business Analyst to define data requirements and specifications.
  • Engage positively and professionally with the project team, internal and external subject matter experts, and stakeholder groups.

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in Access DB and database management using SQL.
  • Experience in data modeling, reporting, analysis, presentation, and visualization.
  • Ability to apply a range of tools and techniques to collate and analyze data.
  • Experience conceiving, designing, and building dashboards using Excel and enterprise BI solutions.
  • Experience working with stakeholders to define and implement reporting requirements.
  • Experience working on large projects and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Data analysis qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience as a data analyst.
