Job Summary

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team at Long Lane Farm, a residential care home for adults with severe learning disabilities, Autism, communication difficulties, challenging behaviour, Prader-Willi Syndrome, and other complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support residents with their day-to-day lives, encouraging independence and participation in activities.
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Engage residents in activities, such as hobbies, outings, and social events.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' behaviour or condition.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individual care plans.

Requirements

  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
