This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Oncology Service as an Oncology Head and Neck Clinical Nurse Specialist. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in oncology, excellent leadership, management and communication skills, as well as a strong ability to provide emotional support to patients, their families and staff during difficult situations.

The post holder will be responsible for providing expert specialist advice for patients, relatives and carers in relation to head and neck cancer diagnosis with a focus on SACT, as well as advising other healthcare professionals. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing opportunities for advancing nursing practice and ensuring collaborative working relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and provide a specialist nursing service for the care and ongoing management of patients diagnosed with head and neck cancers undergoing SACT.">
  • Participate in the provision of high-quality care from diagnosis through treatment and during follow-up.">
  • Make informed decisions within their own area and scope of professional practice.">
