Tendering Specialist Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Tendering Specialist to join our team at Simpson Booth in Kintore.

Purpose of Position:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our business development and sales process, responsible for preparing comprehensive proposals and bids for potential projects. This will involve conducting thorough analyses of project specifications, blueprints, and client requirements, as well as collaborating with our sales team to ensure accurate cost estimations and pricing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Analysis: Conduct a thorough analysis of project specifications, blueprints, and client requirements for fabrication and pipeline projects.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare detailed proposals, bids, and tender documents that clearly outline project scope, cost estimates, timelines, and technical solutions.
  • Communication: Communicate with clients to clarify project requirements, address technical inquiries, and participate in meetings as necessary.
  • Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to enhance the company's competitiveness.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, operations, and project management, to gather information and insights for proposal development.
Requirements:
  • Qualification in Welding or construction, or relevant experience in proposals in a similar role.
  • Professional experience preparing sales quotations and proposals for construction and pipeline projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of English (every other language is a plus).
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office, such as Word and Excel, is a must.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
