About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Portfolio Manager to join our team at MHR. As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of project managers, ensuring the quality of service and successful implementations of our HR, payroll, and finance solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Provide line management, mentoring, and support to Project Managers, ensuring they are effective, efficient, and adhere to project management standards.
  • Project Governance: Ensure that project governance and implementation standards are fully embedded and adhered to throughout the portfolio.
  • Commercial Awareness: Support the management team to ensure revenue targets are met as per the business plan.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Regularly review project status with Project Managers to ensure early identification of potential customer complaints or escalations.
  • Methodology Champion: Champion and promote an understanding of the Project Management Methodology throughout the business.
  • Collaboration: Work in conjunction with the PMO to effectively manage the asset base of the portfolio of projects, and collaborate with Project Managers and Sales teams to identify and realise additional commercial opportunities.
Requirements
  • Project Methodology: Strong understanding of project management methodologies and principles.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the business.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
