Job Overview

Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our team. As a Podiatrist with expertise in musculoskeletal care, you will be responsible for assessing, developing treatment plans, and signposting patients with complex health problems.

Main Duties

Effectively manage a Podiatry clinical caseload of clients with complex needs using evidence-based client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate podiatric interventions in community settings and other settings as required.

Support positive behavioral changes through activation to empower self-management.

Use evidence-based, client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate podiatric interventions in the hospital and community setting.

Single-handed, autonomous assessment, diagnosis, and development of care and treatment plans for low and high-risk patients in primary and community care settings.

Involvement in research and local clinical audit to measure and monitor in relation to intervention evaluation.

Essential Criteria

  • BSc (Hons) Podiatry or equivalent
  • HCPC registered
  • LA Certificate
  • Evidence of current relevant CPD

Desirable Criteria

  • Supplementary or Independent Prescriber
  • Post-Grad Qualifications
  • Registered on Masters programme

Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Post-Grad employment as B5 or B6 Podiatrist

Desirable Criteria

  • Supervision of junior staff
  • Delivering training
