Geotechnical Engineer - Geotechnical & Geo-EnvironmentalWe are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at EVera Recruitment. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in assisting and managing ground engineering tasks on various schemes across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough desk studies, site inspections, and surveys to gather essential data and insights.
- Plan and supervise ground investigation fieldwork to ensure accurate and comprehensive data collection.
- Develop detailed laboratory testing schedules to facilitate the analysis of collected samples.
- Monitor gas and groundwater levels to assess site conditions and potential hazards.
- Prepare detailed reports on geotechnical and contaminated land findings, contributing to the interpretation and assessment process.
Requirements:
- A good degree in Earth Sciences, Geology, or Civil Engineering.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A good understanding of Information Technology (IT) systems and processes.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize own workload.
- Excellent written English and verbal skills to effectively communicate, with a keen eye and high level of attention to detail.
- At least one-year post-graduate experience in a similar or skill-transferrable role is desirable.
