Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated child welfare professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children and families, and will be able to effectively discharge local authority statutory duties.


Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking child and family assessments, in partnership with the child, their parents or carers, and other agencies. This will include assessing the needs of children who are at risk of harm or are in need of protection, as well as supporting those who are looked after and subject to care proceedings.

The main areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

  • Children awaiting adoptive placements

The successful candidate will also work closely with other professionals, such as social workers, police officers, and health visitors, to ensure that the best interests of the child are always prioritized.


About the Role:

This is a challenging yet rewarding role, which requires the ability to think critically and make sound judgments. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
