About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Sous Chef to join our team at Hyatt London River Thames. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Pastry Chef in developing and implementing menus and recipes, ensuring high-quality standards and consistency in the production and presentation of all pastry items.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Pastry Chef to create new pastry items and review and adapt menu offerings.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen, ensuring efficiency and high-quality standards.
  • Conduct regular taste tests and quality checks, implementing and enforcing hygiene and food safety standards in the pastry kitchen.
  • Manage inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies, monitoring and controlling costs to minimize waste and optimize budget use.
  • Assist the Pastry Chef in supervising and guiding pastry colleagues, providing training and support as needed.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Pastry Sous Chef who can motivate and inspire a team. You will have excellent knowledge of food trends, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
