Senior Power Electronics Engineer

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Ampere Recruitment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control theory and system architecture, with expertise in modular multi-level converters (MMC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, validate, and industrialize power electronic converter modules (power stacks) for low and medium-voltage applications.
  • Develop and test innovative technologies and algorithms for smart converters using embedded software and hardware.
  • Specify and analyze key power electronic components, considering factors like lead-time, availability, pricing, and qualification.
  • Expertise in loss analysis, thermal modeling for converter modules, and defining cooling system requirements.
  • Laboratory testing of power converter modules, including switching tests and heat runs.
  • Familiarity with power electronic components and thermal design.

Requirements:

  • ~5+ years of experience in power converter design, testing, manufacturing, and addressing field issues.
  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
