About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative school leader to join our team as Headteacher of our new school in Bristol. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and growing our co-educational provision for pupils with complex needs, including SEMH.

As part of Acorn Education, a leading independent provider of specialist education for vulnerable pupils and young people, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of our students. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality education and support, and we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective leadership and management of the school to ensure outstanding outcomes for pupils and young people.
  • Lead the development and implementation of curriculum plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Manage and develop a team of staff to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent education and support.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes the well-being of all pupils and staff.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of three years' experience as a senior leader in a specialist school for pupils with complex communication needs.
  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team of staff to achieve excellence in their roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
