Job Description

Job Title: Data Scientist

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to our mission of harnessing the power of data to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Management: Ensure data accuracy and integrity by overseeing data collection methods, warehousing, and pre-processing.
  • Automate Data Processes: Develop automated data pipelines and workflows to streamline data processes and analyses.
  • Data Visualisations: Create clear and informative visualisations to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work with domain experts, data analysts, product and commercial teams to understand business needs and deliver data science solutions.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a commercial data scientist role with a focus area on drawing out intelligence, trends and key themes from diverse data sets.
  • Qualifications: A degree or equivalent qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, or a related field.

Desirable Skills:

  • Science / Life Science background: Preferred.
  • Expertise in data mining, machine learning, statistical modelling relevant to sales and marketing: Essential.
  • Experience in SQL, writing sophisticated queries and stored procedures, ideally within Snowflake: Essential.
  • Proficiency in Python and hands on experience using relevant Python libraries for retrieving and transforming data: Essential.
  • Experience working with relevant Python ML libraries: Essential.
  • ETL, ELT of data from multiple sources and formats into final data store, ideally using DBT: Essential.
  • Visualisation and dashboard creation skills (preferably in Tableau): Essential.

  • Strong analytical skills with a commercial mind-set, with a track record of producing high-quality models and meeting deadlines: Essential.
