Job Title: Lead Drives Control Engineer

Job Summary:

GE Aviation's Power Conversion business is seeking a talented and experienced Drives Control Engineer to join its Systems Engineering group. As a Lead Drives Control Engineer, you will be responsible for Control Software and key Control Hardware for GE Aviation's range of Electric Drives.

Key Responsibilities:

* Responsible for managing the design, development, and maintenance of Drive Control Systems technology, including control algorithms, techniques, software, and modules.
* Developing and maintaining good engineering interfaces to various teams, including ITO sales, field/commissioning engineering, automation control, and peer groups.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement control systems for MW-scale power electronic drive systems.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent subject.
* Experience working with Variable Speed Drive technology.
* Experience leading a technical team of Software, Hardware, or Control engineers.
* Experience in system integration working on multi-discipline projects.
* Electrical engineering experience in relevant industries, such as Marine, Energy, Renewables, Oil & Gas, etc.
* Experience in integrated control schemes with PLCs, HMI, and Drives.
* LV and MV variable speed drives, motors.
* On-site commissioning/test environment on power systems/equipment.
* Existing or ability to obtain higher levels of UK Security Clearance, including SC Clearance and UK Eyes Only Clearance.
