Job Description

The Senior Internal Auditor will play a key role in providing an excellent internal audit service, working with minimal supervision and contributing to team meetings. The ideal candidate will have very good communication and analytical skills, be able to work to firm deadlines, and produce high-quality work.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for their own set of audit assignments, have experience of carrying out internal audits, and be a member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors or one of the UK chartered accountancy bodies. They will also have a high level of understanding of modern-day internal audit, including risk-based auditing and systems-based auditing.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain experience and develop your skills in a friendly working environment with hybrid working arrangements. You will be supported fully in your role and have the chance to contribute to improving the internal audit service.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Very good communication (written and oral) and analytical skills
  • Experience of carrying out internal audits
  • A degree-level education and membership of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors or one of the UK chartered accountancy bodies
